Cable Insulation Cap

The Cable Insulation Cap is a fully insulated, fully shielded, and touchable bushing sealing accessory for 8.7/15kV and 24kV systems. It seals unused or maintenance ports on elbow type C bushings. It is rated for 630A. This cap is often used with elbow connectors, loadbreak connectors, and surge arresters.

You can touch it safely. This cap is essential for system safety and reliability.

Rated voltage is 8.7/15kV or 24kV. Rated current is 630A. The Cable Insulation Cap fits elbow type C bushings per EN50180/50181 standards. Insulation material is EPDM rubber or silicone rubber. Protection level is IP68. You can bury it or use it long-term in high humidity environments. Installation humidity should be below 80% for good bonding quality. Power frequency withstand voltage is 42kV/1min for 12kV or 54kV/5min for 24kV.
